That’s honestly the perfect word for it—a scavenger hunt. I ran into the same mess last year when I tried to claim a window rebate. Even after reading the FAQ twice, I still missed a buried requirement about submitting before installation, not after. Totally agree that persistence matters more than connections, but it shouldn’t be this complicated. Your system with reminders and folders is smart—I wish I’d thought of that before learning the hard way. At least you’re not alone in feeling frustrated by how scattered everything is.

Been there, kicked myself for it too. It feels like they hide those key rules in size 6 font. The folders-and-reminders thing is my survival kit now, but I still have a spreadsheet labeled “rebate chaos.” Honestly, the process makes me wonder if they want us to give up halfway. At least you caught it eventually—consider it a badge earned in the wild world of home upgrades.

- That buried requirement got me too, honestly.
- Seems like every program has some tiny rule that’s easy to miss.
- I’ve started double-checking dates and fine print before I even start a project... still almost missed it last time.
- It’s frustrating, but you’re definitely not alone.
- At least you found out before it was too late—some folks don’t realize until after everything’s installed.
- Feels like a rite of passage for anyone dealing with rebates.
