Thinking about finally swapping out my old drafty windows since I heard there's a decent tax credit if you go energy efficient. Curious how many of you are considering window upgrades this year?

I went ahead and voted "already upgraded," but honestly, it was more of a DIY project than a big planned thing. Last year, I got tired of feeling drafts every winter, so I swapped out a couple of the worst offenders myself. It wasn't exactly fun (lifting windows solo is no joke), but it wasn't rocket science either. The tax credit was a nice bonus, but the real payoff was seeing my heating bill drop noticeably this winter.
I'm curious though - are you planning to do it yourself or hire someone? If you're handy and patient, it's doable, but measuring correctly is key. Learned that the hard way when I had to reorder one window because I was off by half an inch... rookie mistake.
