Got my Marvin windows faster than expected—anyone else surprised?

Guess it’s one of those things where you don’t really know until something goes sideways...

Yeah, that’s pretty much been my experience too. I overthink the storage part every time—especially with expensive stuff like windows. I had a similar situation with some smart home gear; left it boxed for a couple weeks, and kept worrying if humidity in my basement would mess things up. Ended up reading the manufacturer’s recommendations, but there’s always that gray area between what’s “best practice” and what’s just fine in real life.

With windows, I’ve heard some insurance policies get picky about “protected storage” if you ever need to file a claim. But honestly, unless you’re storing them in a leaky shed or somewhere obvious, I doubt most people ever run into issues. It’s just hard to tell how much is actual risk versus just legalese. I guess the main thing is documenting where you kept them and making sure nothing obvious happened—photos help if you’re nervous.

Funny how paperwork makes you second-guess stuff you’d never think twice about otherwise...
