Window Measurements: Tape Measure, Laser, or Eyeball It?

Okay, so I'm about to order some new blinds and curtains for my place, and it got me thinking...how do most people measure their windows? I usually just grab a tape measure and hope for the best (with mixed results, lol). But I've seen those laser measuring gadgets online - are they worth it? Or do you just eyeball it and cross your fingers? Quick poll: tape measure, laser gadget, or eyeballing? Curious how everyone else handles this.

Tape measure all the way for me - never trusted myself enough to eyeball it, and those laser gadgets seem a bit gimmicky (though maybe I'm just old-school?). Honestly though, even with careful measuring I've still ended up with blinds slightly off before. Makes me wonder if it's less about the tool and more about technique...anyone else think there's a trick to measuring accurately, or is it just patience and practice?
