Shade sails and misters help, sure, but honestly they're just band-aids. If you're seriously worried about the heat, I'd focus more on insulation upgrades and efficient AC systems—makes a bigger difference indoors where you'll spend most of your time anyway.

Couldn't agree more on the insulation point. When we first moved here, our place had basic insulation, and summers were brutal indoors—AC running nonstop, bills sky-high. Upgrading to spray foam insulation and double-pane windows was a game changer. Shade sails look nice and all, but if you're serious about comfort and energy efficiency, invest in proper insulation and a high-SEER AC unit first. It'll pay off in the long run.
