Okay, so I was helping my brother-in-law install new windows last weekend, and of course, it had to be during the hottest days we've had all year. 🙄 We thought we'd start early to beat the heat, but by 9 am it was already like an oven out there. The caulk was drying way too fast, the frames felt like they were burning our hands, and honestly, we were both getting pretty cranky, lol.

Got me wondering if other people prefer to tough it out and get window projects done in summer, or if you guys wait until fall or spring when it's cooler. Quick poll:

When do you usually tackle window installation or replacement projects?

- Summer (just get it over with, heat be damned)
- Fall (cooler weather, less misery)
- Spring (nice balance, not too hot or cold)
- Winter (you're brave...or crazy 😂)
- Whenever there's a good sale, weather doesn't matter

Feel free to share your own sweaty window-installation horror stories or tips for surviving the heat.

I've done my fair share of window installs, and honestly, summer is the absolute worst time for it. Heat messes with everything - caulk dries too fast, vinyl frames warp slightly making alignment a pain, and tempers flare quicker. Learned my lesson after one brutal July weekend...now I always aim for early fall or late spring. Cooler temps give you more control and way less frustration. Unless there's an insane sale, I'd suggest holding off till the heat breaks a bit.
