Little trick for keeping icy drafts out with older windows
I’ve had mixed results with shrink film too - definitely agree it’s less visible than bubble wrap, and the light isn’t affected much. One thing I’ve always wondered: does the double-sided tape ever leave any residue on your trim? I’ve got old woodwork and I’m a bit paranoid about damaging the finish again. I tried a silicone caulk bead one year, but that was a pain to remove. Curious if anyone’s found a tape that really comes off cleanly after winter...
