What would you do if every window quote was wildly different?

- Been there... Had a customer once who picked the “deal of the century”—they didn’t realize their quote didn’t include ANY caulking or insulation. Middle of January, you could feel a draft from across the room.
-

“are they actually sealing the frame properly, or just slapping it in?”

Yep, seen crews just shove windows in and call it a day. Not pretty.
- If quotes are all over the place, I always dig into what’s missing. Sometimes that “cheap” price is missing things like tempered glass or proper flashing.
- Never hurts to ask for install photos from previous jobs. Tells you more than any sales pitch.

- I always check the fine print—one company quoted me low, then I realized they didn’t include removal/disposal or any interior trim.

Seen that too, especially with basement windows.
- Anyone ever get a quote that actually included air sealing tapes? Wondering if that’s overkill or worth it in a cold climate.
