Honestly, I’m a bit skeptical—usually when something claims to be the best of both worlds, it ends up being kinda mediocre at both.
I get where you’re coming from. I used to side-eye anything “hybrid” too, but after fighting with old double-hungs in my 1920s place, I finally tried a couple of those hybrid replacements on the north side. To my surprise, they actually sealed up better than the old ones ever did. Winter drafts were way less noticeable. Still, I admit I miss the look of the original wood. Anyone else find sliders easier to install in crooked frames, or do double-hungs still win out for that?
