installing the rods for such wide windows was a project. Had to reinforce the drywall with anchors, which I didn’t expect.
I had a similar surprise—my old plaster walls didn’t take kindly to heavy rods, so I ended up tracking down some extra-long brackets and hitting studs wherever possible. The measuring thing gets me every time too... I swear, no matter how careful I am, there’s always a gap somewhere. Has anyone tried those ceiling-mount tracks instead of wall-mounted rods? Curious if that makes things any easier with big spans.
