Cost way less than full replacements, and honestly, the drafts dropped off a lot. Not perfect, but I kind of like keeping the original look.

That hits home. Had a client with a 1920s bungalow—she was dead set on keeping her wavy glass windows. We did a full reglaze, added some weatherstripping, and popped on storm windows. She swore her living room felt warmer, and her cat stopped camping out on the heat vent. Full replacements can be overkill, especially if the old wood’s still solid. Sometimes the charm (and your wallet) wins out.
