We had a similar experience after upgrading our windows—suddenly, the house felt so much cozier, but then the condensation started showing up in places I’d never noticed before. I guess it’s just what happens when you finally seal everything up tight. The noise reduction was a huge surprise for us too; I didn’t realize how much the old panes let in until they were gone. In hindsight, I wish I’d paid more attention to ventilation from the start... ended up retrofitting an exhaust fan in the laundry room for the same reason you mentioned. Still, I’d take wiping down a window over shivering in my own living room any day.
