Has anyone ever had luck with those interior drainage channels they install along the perimeter of the basement? I’ve heard mixed reviews, but never tried it myself.
Funny enough, I actually put in one of those perimeter drain systems about five years ago. Not gonna lie, it was a mess tearing up the slab, but it’s kept the floor dry since then. The catch is, the walls still get damp if the rain’s heavy enough—so it doesn’t fix everything. If you’re hoping for a magic bullet, it’s not quite that, but it’s better than mopping up puddles every spring. Still gotta keep an eye on outside grading and gutters though... water’s sneaky.
