It’s funny, I kinda had the opposite thing happen. We grabbed the rebate for panels the second we saw it, even though our place is drafty as heck. I figured, why not lock in the deal first? The savings weren’t crazy at first, but now that we’re slowly fixing up the insulation and sealing stuff, it’s adding up. Guess sometimes it makes sense to jump on rebates and just work through the other upgrades as you go... especially if you know you’ll get to them eventually.
