Been thinking about replacing some old windows at home, but man, the quotes I'm getting are seriously all over the map. Like, hypothetically, if I had two identical houses in different neighborhoods, would the price really swing that much? Seems kinda random, you know?

- Neighborhood might play a role, but honestly, I think it's more about the companies themselves.
- Had similar experiences when I replaced mine last year—quotes varied wildly even within the same area.
- Some places just charge premium for their brand or reputation, while others might be smaller outfits with lower overhead.
- Also, timing matters...got a way better deal in winter when business was slow. Might wanna consider that angle too.
