Just got a quote for replacing windows and um, wow...the price jumped way higher than I expected after they added in disposal fees and some random "installation adjustments." Curious if others had similar surprises or if it's just my luck, lol.

I voted "Yep, way more" because I had a similar experience last summer. First-time homeowner here, and I thought I was being thorough - got multiple quotes, compared materials, the whole nine yards. But when the final invoice came, there were these random "environmental disposal fees" and some vague "custom fitting adjustments" that bumped the price up by nearly 20%. Felt like they just made stuff up on the spot...lesson learned, always ask upfront about hidden fees.
