Do replacement glass quotes spell out tempered or laminated glazing?
A single-pane replacement quote can be hard to judge if it just says “safety glass.” Tempered and laminated glass aren’t the same thing, so I’d want to know which type is being specified and whether the window’s location requires safety glazing.
For a fair comparison, should the quote also state the glass thickness, any required edge work, and what installation includes, such as removing the old pane and disposing of it? What details have helped you tell whether two quotes actually cover the same glass and scope?
