What actually drives the cost of adding smart opening to a window?
When a quote covers smart window opening, how much of the total usually comes from the opener itself versus the sensors, controls, wiring, and installation? Sensor prices alone don’t tell me much if the job might also need a compatible actuator or extra wiring.
What details would you want broken out in the quote, and what compatibility questions matter most when adding sensors and controls to an existing opener rather than installing an integrated motorized one? I’d expect the window type and access to affect the work, too.
