Just want to say, threads like this are why I trust forum advice over random Google results. Real people, real places (Tampa heat and storms are no joke), and real outcomes. You've all boosted my confidence big time.

My install kicks off next week. Feeling prepped and ready, and actually excited (who knew I'd ever say that about windows?). I'll report back if I learn anything new, but hopefully it goes as smoothly as those here.

Honestly, reading through these feels like chatting with neighbors who've been there, done that. Love it. Makes this big project feel way more approachable.

I'm convinced! Already scheduled quotes with the two companies most mentioned here. 😉 With all this collective wisdom in my back pocket, I feel ready to tackle whatever comes. Huge thanks to everyone.

I’m so glad this is a sticky now. It'll help so many people down the line.

Wish every local forum had a thread like this. Learned more here than from any sales pitch.

The range of topics (permits, HOA, hurricanes, contractors) covered here is amazing. It's like a checklist of what to know and do.

Can't wait to experience my first storm season with new impact windows. Bring it on, weather! (Actually, please don't bring it too hard, but if you do, I'm ready 😁).
