But honestly, I'm kinda curious about smaller or lesser-known manufacturers. You know, those hidden gems that don't pop up immediately on Google but maybe offer better quality or more bang for your buck.
Has anyone here had experience with smaller window companies? I'm especially interested in durability and insulation since winters here can be brutal. A neighbor mentioned some local brand they used years ago and swears by them, but of course, he can't remember the name now (typical).

We went with a smaller local company about five years ago—honestly, zero regrets. The insulation difference was night and day, especially during those brutal cold snaps. I'd say it's definitely worth digging around locally before committing to a big brand.
