Just figured out a neat trick for anyone bored with their plain white vinyl windows. Instead of replacing them (which is pricey, trust me), you can actually paint them with vinyl-safe paint. Did mine last weekend in a nice slate gray, and it looks surprisingly good. Just make sure you use paint specifically labeled for vinyl, or else it might peel or warp. Curious if anyone else has tried this or has other tips for sprucing up the outside of their windows...

That's actually pretty cleverβ€”I hadn't thought about painting vinyl windows before. Did you have to do any special prep work beforehand, like sanding or priming? I've heard mixed things about how well paint sticks to vinyl in the long run. Also wondering if darker colors might absorb more heat and cause issues down the road...any thoughts on that? Either way, sounds like a great weekend project, might have to give it a try myself sometime.
