Painter's tape is a clever idea, hadn't thought of that one before. Usually I just vacuum like crazy and hope for the best, but you're right—glass has a sneaky way of sticking around. Last time I broke a window pane (long story involving a ladder and an overly ambitious DIY project), I was still finding tiny shards weeks later. And yeah, gloves are definitely key. I learned pretty quickly that those thin fabric ones are basically useless against glass edges.

Curious though, anyone ever tried using one of those sticky lint rollers on floors after vacuuming? Seems like it might work similarly to painter's tape, but maybe easier to handle. Might give it a shot next time... though hopefully there won't be a next time anytime soon.

Painter's tape definitely helps, but the lint roller idea is solid too—especially for smaller areas. I've also found that wiping down surfaces with damp paper towels after vacuuming catches those tiny shards the vacuum misses. Saved my feet more than once...

Painter's tape and lint rollers are decent quick fixes, but honestly, if you're dealing with tiny glass shards, damp paper towels might not be the best move. I've seen people try that, and while it picks up some glass, it can also smear those microscopic fragments around, making them harder to spot later. Ever tried using duct tape instead? Pressing strips of duct tape onto the surface can grab even the smallest pieces without spreading them around. It's a bit tedious, sure, but it beats stepping on glass days later...

Also, just curious—did you wear gloves and eye protection during the cleanup? People often underestimate how far those tiny shards can travel. I've had glass bits show up in places I never expected, like inside shoes or even on shelves across the room. Better safe than sorry with this stuff.

Yeah, duct tape's definitely better than painter's tape for tiny shards. Learned that the hard way myself. Also, quick tip—shine a flashlight at floor level, you'll spot glass bits you missed earlier. Saved my feet a few times...
