Kinda makes you wonder what’s hiding behind the trim, right?
Totally get where you’re coming from. When we swapped out our living room windows last winter, I was convinced there’d be a horror show behind the casings. Turned out, just a ton of crusty old caulk and a few sketchy paint flakes. I did the lead swab thing too—negative, but still didn’t trust it 100%. I wore a mask, taped off the area, and vacuumed with a HEPA after. Maybe overkill, but better safe than sorry, especially with kids around. Those old houses always keep you guessing...
