Anyone else confused by all these green building labels?

I've been trying to wrap my head around Energy Star, Passive House, and Living Building standards, and honestly, it's making my brain hurt a bit. Feels like every time I think I've got one figured out, another pops up that's even stricter or totally different. Is it just me?

You're definitely not alone in this confusion. When I first started looking into green building standards, I thought Energy Star was the gold standard - until I stumbled across Passive House. Then, just as I was getting comfortable with that, someone mentioned Living Building Challenge and my head nearly exploded. Honestly, it feels like every year there's a new certification popping up that's even more ambitious (and complicated). Makes me wonder sometimes if they're genuinely practical or mostly marketing hype...
