Haha, glad I'm not the only one who's done that. Installed a Reliabilt slider last summer and thought I was golden until I realized it stuck halfway open. Cue me spending another hour adjusting shims and cursing quietly ...

Honestly, I skipped the painter's tape entirely and just went freehand - turned out fine after a bit of practice. Tape felt like more hassle than it was worth, but maybe I'm just lazy... or lucky?
