Same here - rope caulk's underrated. Painter's tape always left me patching up caulk bits afterward. Silicone's tough, but cleanup's a pain. Rope caulk just peels right off come spring... total DIY lifesaver.

Yeah, I hear you. When we moved up here, I figured regular windows would be fine too - until I had to help my neighbor replace his fogged-up panes in the middle of winter. Not fun. After that, I went argon-filled myself....
