I've wondered the same thing - battery life seems fine on smaller windows, but a big picture window might be pushing it. Maybe wired motorized shades would be better for heavier setups... anyone compared battery vs wired...

Weatherstripping doors definitely helps - did mine last winter and noticed less hallway noise. But honestly, sealing electrical outlets and switch boxes made a surprising difference too...sound sneaks through weird place...

Yeah, sealing gaps is key... but have you tried acoustic windows yet? Wondering if they're worth the extra cash or just marketing hype. Curtains barely made a dent for me.
