Haha, don't sweat the teasing—your comfort matters more than their jokes. Agree plywood is a solid upgrade from bubble wrap; hinged panels with weatherstripping will make a huge difference.

Haha, plywood definitely beats bubble wrap, but have you ever tried foam board insulation? I helped a buddy winterize his hunting shack last year, and we sandwiched some rigid foam boards between thin plywood panels—worked like a charm. Kept the drafts out way better than expected, and it wasn't even that pricey. Just gotta make sure to seal those edges tight or you'll still feel the chill creeping in... ask me how I know.

Foam board insulation is definitely underrated. Helped my cousin fix up his ice fishing shack last winter, and we did something similar—foam boards sandwiched between plywood sheets. Honestly, we weren't expecting miracles, but the difference was night and day. Only hiccup was we rushed sealing the edges, and yep... ended up feeling those sneaky drafts. Lesson learned, haha. Still beats bubble wrap hands down, though.

Foam board insulation is great stuff, but curious—did you guys use any particular tape or sealant around the edges? I've found that even tiny gaps can really sabotage your insulation efforts. Last year, I helped a buddy insulate his hunting cabin windows, and we ended up using foil tape plus a bead of silicone caulk. Worked pretty well, but man, silicone can get messy fast... Did you run into any moisture issues between the plywood and foam boards? That's always my main worry with sandwich setups.

- Foil tape + silicone is solid, but yeah, silicone can turn into a sticky disaster real quick...been there, done that.
- Personally, I've had better luck with acoustic sealant—stays flexible, less messy, and seals tight.
- Moisture between plywood and foam can def be an issue if there's temp swings. Did you guys put any vapor barrier or house wrap in there? Curious how others tackled this.
