I'm in South Florida, and after last year's hurricane scare, I'm finally getting serious about protecting my house. I've heard good things about impact windows being convenient and sturdy, but they're pretty pricey. Hurricane shutters seem more affordable, but I've also heard they can be a pain to put up and take down every time there's a storm warning. Anyone here have experience with either option? Would love some real-world advice before I drop a bunch of money on this.

Yeah, shutters can definitely be a hassle, especially if you're short on time or help. Impact windows cost more upfront, but the convenience and peace of mind might be worth it in the long run...
