Saw a news story yesterday about how moisture buildup around windows can lead to mold and even structural damage if left unchecked. Got me thinking about my own window frames—always seem kinda damp, especially after rainy days. I've tried wiping them down, but it keeps coming back. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue at home and what you've done about it? Seems like a small thing but apparently it can get pretty serious over time.

Yeah, wiping alone won't cut it. Had the same issue a couple years back—thought it was just condensation from rainy days, but turns out my window seals were shot. Moisture kept seeping in no matter how often I dried it. Ended up resealing the frames myself (bit of a hassle, honestly), but haven't had dampness since. Might wanna check your seals closely... could save you bigger headaches down the road.

Had the same problem last winter, thought I was losing my mind wiping every day. Turns out ventilation was the culprit for me—cracked the window open a tiny bit more often and it cleared right up. Might be worth a shot before you start resealing everything...

Had a similar issue when I first moved in—thought it was just condensation from the cold weather. Ended up installing trickle vents at the top of the frames, and it made a noticeable difference. Might be worth considering if cracking windows isn't practical for you...

Trickle vents are a solid shout, especially if you're noticing dampness after rainy days. Moisture buildup can be sneaky—had a client once whose frames looked fine until we popped them open and found mold partying behind the scenes. If vents aren't an option, try checking the sealant around your frames. Sometimes a quick reseal can do wonders. And yeah, wiping down helps temporarily, but it's basically just playing whack-a-mole with moisture...
