Honestly, drilling into glass sounds like a disaster waiting to happen for someone as clumsy as me.
Has anyone actually tried fixing this themselves? Did it work out okay or did you end up regretting it big time? I'm not super handy but also not thrilled about shelling out hundreds of bucks for new windows if there's a simpler solution. Have you checked if your windows are still under warranty? Usually, once the seal's gone, DIY fixes are temporary at best. Plus, drilling holes can mess up your window's insulation and energy efficiency...probably not worth it.
