Okay, so I'm finally getting around to replacing the windows in my house (been putting it off forever, you know how it is...). Anyway, I've been researching a bit and there's like a million optionsβdouble-hung, casement, sliding, bay windows...it's kinda overwhelming. Curious what everyone else prefers. Quick poll: do you tend to choose windows based more on looks/style or practical stuff like insulation and ease of cleaning? I'm leaning toward practical myself, but some of those fancy bay windows look pretty tempting...

I'm definitely with you on practical being the main factorβI went with double-hung windows because they're super easy to clean. But yeah, bay windows do add some serious charm...anyone here have experience with how well they hold up insulation-wise?
