sometimes the install matters more than the material
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve seen some fancy fiberglass jobs leak like a sieve because someone got sloppy with the flashing. Did a vinyl swap on a 1960s ranch last fall—north wind, endless drafts, you name it. Took my time with the spray foam and trim, and it’s been tight as a drum since. Honestly, half the battle is just not rushing the details... even if your fingers go numb in November.
