We've had this little cabin up in the mountains for years, and every winter I'd dread the crazy heating bills and drafts that made it feel like we were camping indoors, lol. After putting it off forever (you know how it goes...always something else to fix first), we finally bit the bullet and got new windows installed. Honestly, I wasn't expecting miracles, but wow, it's been a total game changer. The place stays cozy now without cranking the heat constantly, and the views somehow look even better through clear glass instead of those old foggy panes.
Anyway, I'm feeling pretty proud of finally getting this done after procrastinating for ages. Curious if anyone else has tackled similar upgrades on their mountain homes or cabins and noticed a big difference too?
Did the same thing at our place last fall and yep, night-and-day difference. If you haven't already, try sealing around doors too—cheap fix and cuts drafts even more. Plus, fewer spiders sneaking in...bonus points right there.
