I've been dealing with these squeaky window tracks for weeks now, finally got fed up and tried spraying some silicone lubricant along the tracks. It worked okay-ish, but still not perfect. Anyone got a better trick or product they swear by?
Had the same issue last summer, silicone spray was meh for me too. Ended up cleaning the tracks thoroughly first (you'd be surprised how much dirt gets in there...) and then rubbed a bit of candle wax along the track edges. Weirdly enough, worked way better than expected.
Candle wax, huh? Never tried that one... I've always sworn by graphite powder myself—little messy at first but works wonders once it settles in. Might give your candle trick a go next time though, sounds interesting!
