Had a couple windows that were getting annoyingly sticky lately, you know, the kind you gotta wrestle with just to get some fresh air. Anyway, I loosened the screws on the hinges just a tad, sprayed some silicone lubricant on the tracks and hinges, then tightened everything back up snug (but not too tight). Worked pretty well, windows glide way smoother now. Anyone got a better trick or something else that works good?
I had a similar issue last summer—one window in particular was driving me nuts. Tried silicone spray too, and it did help for a while. But eventually, I found that cleaning out the tracks really thoroughly first (they were surprisingly gunked up with dust and grime) made the lubricant last way longer. Wonder if dirt build-up could be part of your problem too... have you checked how clean the tracks are?
