- Totally get wanting that style boost. Swapping handles does make things feel “new” without a huge investment.
- You’re right, though—if it’s about drafts or energy bills, the real gains are in weatherstripping and fixing warped frames. Been there with my 1950s windows… handles looked great, but the cold still crept in till I tackled the seals.
- Don’t beat yourself up over second-guessing bold finishes. Been guilty of chasing trends myself, then realizing classic really does age better (and hides fingerprints).
- At the end of the day, if it makes you smile when you open a window, it’s worth something—even if it’s just for looks.
