Okay, this is gonna sound weird, but hear me out. Last night, I'm just chilling on the couch binge-watching some old episodes of The Office (again, don't judge), when I hear this super faint popping sound. Didn't think much of it at first, figured it was just the house settling or whatever. But this morning, I notice there's a random crack running right across my living room window. Like, outta nowhere.
Now, my first thought was obviously ghosts, because why not blame everything on ghosts, right? But then I remembered reading somewhere about windows cracking because of temperature changes or something like that. It has been pretty cold lately, and I've had the heat cranked up inside. Could that really cause a window to just spontaneously crack?
I'm kinda leaning towards science here, but part of me still thinks maybe my place is haunted by a very mild-mannered ghost who just likes breaking windows quietly at night. Anyone else had something similar happen or know if this is actually a thing?
- Yep, temperature swings can definitely crack windowsβhad it happen my first winter in the new place.

Honestly, I'd prefer a polite ghost over expensive window replacements..."maybe my place is haunted by a very mild-mannered ghost"
- Did you notice any drafts beforehand?
