I get the frustration with plastic film, but I’ve actually had decent luck with the shrink-wrap kind, as long as you use a hairdryer to really seal it tight. It’s not pretty, but for drafty rentals or old windows you can’t replace yet, it’s a quick fix. On thermal cameras—pricey, yeah, but some local libraries lend them out for free. Worth checking before dropping a bunch of cash. Tissue paper trick is clever, but in my experience, it can be tough to spot tiny leaks if there’s not much airflow.
