We moved into our house about 12 years ago, and the previous owners had just installed new vinyl windows. They looked great at first, but lately I've noticed they're getting kinda stiff to open and close, and a couple have started fogging up between the panes. I thought these things were supposed to last forever or something, lol. Anyone else noticing their vinyl windows wearing out sooner than expected?
We've only been in our place about 5 years, and the vinyl windows were brand new when we moved in. So far they're holding up pretty well, but I've noticed one or two getting a bit sticky lately. I kinda assumed they'd last forever too, haha...guess nothing's really maintenance-free. Maybe some silicone spray on the tracks would help yours slide easier? Fogging sounds like a seal issue though—might need a pro to fix that one.
