Simonton glass can look different even when the package name sounds similar

How do you make a fair comparison between Simonton glass packages without relying on the package names alone? I’d want to compare the same series and window size, then look at visible transmittance and solar heat gain coefficient. A lower SHGC means less solar heat gain, but I’m unsure how much the change in tint, brightness, or glare might be noticeable in a room.

Would you ask to see glass samples indoors and outside, in bright sun as well as softer light? I’d like to hear what viewing conditions helped people judge the appearance, not just the numbers on the spec sheet.
