I've been getting quotes for replacing windows in my house, and honestly, some of these prices are making my wallet cry a little. I've tried a few things like mentioning competitor quotes, asking about discounts for cash payments, and even suggesting flexibility on installation dates to see if that helps lower the price. It sorta worked, but I feel like I could've done better. Anyone got other tricks or methods that worked well for them?

When I replaced mine, I casually mentioned I wasn't in a rush and asked if they had any slow-season discounts. Ended up scheduling for late fall and saved a decent chunk...might be worth a shot.
