Which way do your windows face for max winter sun?
Yeah, I’m with you - north-facing windows are just cold no matter what you do. I tried the shrink film one winter and it peeled off halfway through January… looked like my house was wrapped in plastic grocery bags. The acrylic inserts aren’t winning any design awards, but man, they actually work. I’d rather have a slightly ugly window than feel that icy draft every morning. Sometimes “good enough” is all you need when it’s 10 degrees out.
