We're down to these two window brands for our remodel. Sierra Pacific seems solid, but Loewen has that reputation for quality, you know? Curious if anyone's got firsthand experience with either and why you'd pick one over the other.

Yeah, I get what you're saying about Loewen's repβit's definitely earned. We went with Loewen windows about five years ago, and honestly, they've held up great. Solid build, smooth operation, and the wood finish still looks sharp. Sierra Pacific isn't bad either, though; my neighbor installed them last year and seems pretty satisfied. I'd say if budget allows, Loewen edges it out slightly on craftsmanship and durability...but either way, you're probably good.
Loewen's definitely solid, but honestly, Sierra Pacific might surprise you. Helped my brother install some SP windows about three years ago, and they've been rock steadyβno leaks, smooth sliders, and still look great. Might be worth another look before you decide...
