Thinking about finally biting the bullet and upgrading the windows in our house. I've heard Marvin windows are pretty solid quality-wise, but honestly, I'm a bit lost on where to start looking for a reliable dealer or installer around here. Anyone had good experiences with local places that carry Marvin? Or maybe even places to steer clear of, haha... open to any suggestions or tips, really.

We went with Marvin windows about two years ago and honestly, zero regrets. The dealer we used was pretty helpful, but the installer made all the difference—super meticulous. Are you leaning toward wood or fiberglass frames? That might narrow down your dealer options a bit...

We replaced ours with Marvin fiberglass frames about three years back. Honestly, the fiberglass was a bit pricier upfront, but totally worth it for durability and maintenance. We went through a local dealer who was decent enough, but like you said, the installer made or broke the deal. Ours was a bit quirky—took his sweet time measuring everything twice (or three times?), but I can't argue with the results. He even caught an issue with one of our window sills that probably saved us headaches later on.

If you're leaning toward wood, just make sure whoever installs them knows their stuff about sealing and finishing. My neighbor went wood and skimped a bit on installation...let's just say he's spent more weekends sanding and repainting than he'd like to admit. Fiberglass is definitely lower maintenance, but wood has that classic look if that's your thing.

Either way, good luck with the upgrade—it's amazing what new windows do for comfort and energy bills.
