Anyone have a ballpark on Marvin window pricing lately?

That $1,250 per window sounds about right for a full Marvin package around here too. Honestly, sometimes those higher quotes are just more transparent—nobody likes sticker shock halfway through.

Honestly, I’d rather see the ugly number up front than get nickel-and-dimed for “extras” that should’ve been in the original scope. Last time I did windows—2019, so pre-pandemic pricing—I thought I was clever going with a mid-range bid. Ended up paying nearly as much as the highest quote once they tacked on disposal fees, custom trim work (which was just basic casing), and “site protection.” Felt like ordering an airline ticket: base price, then you pay to breathe.

I’m with you on Marvin reps being tough negotiators. I tried to talk one down by quoting a competitor’s price and got a polite smile and a brochure. My toddler’s more flexible—at least he’ll trade cookies for compliance.

Curious if anyone has seen any difference between the Marvin lines lately? I noticed Elevate is creeping up toward Essential pricing in my area (Midwest, older brick house). The install guys said supply chain’s still a mess, but I’m wondering if it’s worth waiting out these lead times or if this is just the new normal. Lead time on my neighbor’s order stretched to 14 weeks last fall, which feels wild for something as basic as double-hungs.

Anyone actually had luck getting a “package deal” if you do all your windows at once? Or is that just another myth contractors use to lure you in? I keep hearing bulk discounts are possible, but every time I ask it’s “well, maybe on labor... but not materials.”

And if anyone’s braved the DIY route with Marvins—did you actually save much after factoring in all the trim and finishing work? Or does it just end up being more headache than it’s worth?
