anyone else bothered by the greenish tint on low-e windows?

We just got new windows installed, and I went with low-e glass because, you know, energy savings and all that. But now I'm noticing this slight greenish tint, especially when the sun hits it just right. My neighbor has regular clear glass, and honestly, theirs looks way nicer from the outside. Anyone else notice this difference? Curious if you'd pick energy efficiency over aesthetics or vice versa.

Yeah, I've had a few clients mention the same thing after installing low-e windows. It's pretty common actuallyβ€”it's just the coating doing its job reflecting heat and UV rays. I get that aesthetics matter, but honestly, most people stop noticing it after a while. Plus, your energy bills will thank you later...trust me, you'll appreciate that tint when summer rolls around and your AC isn't working overtime. Hang in there, it'll grow on you.

- Yep, noticed the same thing when we got ours installed a few years back.
- At first, I kept thinking my lawn was suddenly greener or something... took me a week to realize it was the windows messing with me.
- Honestly though, after a month or two, I completely forgot about it. Now I only notice if someone else points it out.
- And like others said, the energy savings are legitβ€”my AC doesn't sound like it's dying every July anymore. Totally worth the weird tint.
