Last night, I swear I felt like I was camping in my own bedroom. The windows are old and drafty, and replacing them isn't an option right now (budget, you know?). So I'm thinking of some DIY hacks—maybe something creative or even a bit quirky. Like, imagine a character stuck in a cabin during a snowstorm with only household items to seal the windows...what would they do? Curious what ideas you guys might have.

Haha, been there. Rolled-up towels or blankets along the window sills actually help a lot. Also, bubble wrap taped over the glass—looks weird but surprisingly effective. Ever tried that?

Rolled-up towels are decent for a quick fix, but bubble wrap on glass... hmm, wouldn't be my first choice. I've seen people use cling film or even plastic trash bags taped tight around the window frame—works surprisingly well in a pinch. Had a buddy once who sealed his windows with painter's tape and cardboard during a winter storm; looked sketchy but kept the heat in. Ever had to improvise something like that?

Painter's tape and cardboard might hold temporarily, but moisture buildup could become problematic. I'd suggest weatherstripping or even removable caulk—both offer better insulation without risking condensation issues down the line.
