Yep, ran into this. Tried weatherstripping but it just looked sloppy.“even with custom cuts, there’s still weird little gaps unless you go all-in with caulk or foam strips—which looks pretty ugly up close.”
- Ended up using thick curtains—honestly, way less hassle. They’re heavy, sure, but I can toss them in the wash every so often and they block drafts better than my leaky shades ever did.
- Not as sleek, but for old windows, sometimes simple wins.
