Totally agree on the “good enough” factor. I tried patching a small crack on my back porch window last summer, thinking I’d save a few bucks. It held up, but if you catch it in the right light, you can spot my handiwork from across the yard. Honestly, unless you’re super picky or your HOA has x-ray vision, patching works fine for a while. But yeah, if you want it to look like nothing ever happened? That’s a whole different ballgame. I’ll probably just replace mine when I get tired of seeing my own “artwork.”
